Dr. Rask is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon.
After earning his medical degree from OHSU, he completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University, adult sports medicine fellowship at Indiana University and pediatric sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University. He's had extra training in anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstructions, patellofemoral problems, shoulder injuries as well as injuries of the elbow, foot and ankle, hand and wrist, and fractures.
Bart Rask was born and raised in Southeast Portland and graduated from Benson Polytechnic High School. Upon beginning practice in Hillsboro,
he partnered with OHSU/Tuality to design Oregon’s first, low-cost school
sports medical screening program. Dr. Rask has been the team doctor for Hillsboro High School since 1998 and volunteered many hours of medical services toward various school sporting events. He serves as a clinical instructor for medical students for Pacific NW University of Health Sciences
and is a principal reviewer for The American Journal of Sports Medicine.
In his spare time, he likes to spend time with his wife and children, read, exercise and play the violin.
